Mother Hen

This Mother Hen came in the post today.

The first gift for Baby Girl in the mail,

and what a treasure it is! 

I have snuggled this Mother Hen

and her chicks throughout the day.

Pulling each chick on and off of

her and putting them back on.

Squishing her wings

and listening to the crinkle.

I love this gift,

and I love who it comes from.

She is a treasure.

Not only is she a sweetheart,

but she has been a great support

for me throughout my pregnancy.

Looking forward to the day

when the chubby fingers of our little girl

will pull those chickies on and off the Mother Hen.
