Most Wonderful Time

Friday night Spencer and I got into the car.

So? Who cares right?

I care. Why? Because the VERY FIRST Christmas song was being played on JRFM!!!

My mouth dropped and I turned to look at Spencer, slowly cranking my neck, still in disbelief. I got a reply, "oh no."

You see I know from experience that most radio stations (specifically JRFM) don't play Christmas music until after Dec.1. Bah Hum Bug.

I have such distinct memories. November 30 I would lie in bed, set my alarm for something like 11:50pm and lie awake until the clock struck midnight. Within 30 seconds, or sometimes a couple minutes, the first Christmas song would play, followed by the first Christmas radio commercial.

I didn't get that opportunity this year because FINALLY other people also realized that the "Most Wonderful Time of the Year" really does exist BEFORE December 1st too!

So this morning when my alarm went off and Garth Brooks belted out his merry Christmas song, I lied in bed with a big stupid grin on my face until he finished his morning greeting to me.
