Well, it is because in the fall of this year Spencer and I will begin an incredible journey.
The two of us will be moving down to Portland so that Spencer can attend Western States Chiropractic College.
About one month ago, after feeling discouraged about applying for Physiotherapy school, Spencer and I prayed. We prayed that God would direct us where He wanted us to go. We asked God to reveal what it was that He wanted for us regarding Spencer's schooling. The next morning Spencer remembered a school colleague and team mate at UBC, Alex. Alex had just begun school in Portland to be a Chiropractor. From there a whirlwind of events took place.
Soon enough Spencer had talked to Alex on the phone and applied to the the school. We began to look into what it would look like for us to move to the United States. The schooling would take four years, however if done full time it could be completed in three. After much time spent in prayer, everything fell into place harmoniously. It was so evident that this is what God wanted for us.
This afternoon Spencer called me to tell me he had received an email from the school that stated they were "excited to inform" Spencer that he was gladly accepted. Never had words sounded so sweet! We are both vibrating with excitement.
Although three years is a long time, there is a very beautiful light at the end of the tunnel. We are both excited about our new adventure. Please pray with us as the next steps need to come into place. 1) Interview with the school 2) Orientation and tour of the school 3) A student visa for Spencer and a work visa for me 3) finding work 4) finding a place to live 5) Spencer upgrading two courses.
So, here are some stats about BEAUTIFUL Portland. (We have an Queen sized air matress just waiting for YOU!)
So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21:21
